This shows Waste Transfer, recycling, large fire station, small warehouse, and small police station all in one block with only a small amount unused. You can fit a bunch of various service type buildings in something like this. A single crematorium is enough to handle all 4 if you need to empty them at the same time. This will fit in well with the 10x20 blocks above, and is very space efficient. You can fit 4 Cemeteries in a single 20x20 block. If connecting one of these to a larger road, the connecting segment should have a length of 11 units.ġ1u road length to connect to a wider road. Blocks this size only make enough noise for complaints when filled with High Density commercial (or tourism/leisure, but those shouldn't be anywhere near residential anyway). It helps shorten travel distances for residents who want to go shopping, it spreads out freight deliveries, and it spreads out the noise. Spreading commercial around in an area like this is good for several reasons. This layout works really well with European District style. Put a bunch of these together and you can fill up a large area pretty quickly. Throw in some 10x30 or larger every once in a while to provide some variety. You can expand it using the same basic idea. Not that you would expect heavy traffic in these areas all the time anyway.ġ0x20 rectangles can be used as the basic building blocks for this. These are for when you actually want or need to use grids to pack as much in an area as you can, but you want it to look less 'griddy' than simple squares over and over ad nauseum, and the T intersections help control traffic better than having everything be a 4-way.
